| Chop flour* baking powder* salt and 1/2 C butter together till it is a course combination. Add milk to form a dough. Split the dough into 6 balls and roll each ball out. Place chopped apple* and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Fold up sides to make a packet- to secure sides* wet edges with water. To make the syrup* heat 2 C sugar* 1 t cinnamon* 2 C water and 1/4 C butter. Place dumplings in a pan and pour syrup over. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes then baste and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ice cream. |
